Our friends at Warings Lifestore have provided us with another fantastic blog post. This time it's their favourite colours from their Farrow & Ball range. If you're looking to decorate, go and see them for some ideas and inspiration. Read below for their blog post!
This soft mid yellow – Sudbury Yellow No. 51 by Farrow&Ball is our Colour of the Week here at WARINGS. It is particularly responsive to changes in light, reading as cleaner and brighter in well-lit rooms or softening in dimly lit spaces alongside a stronger contrast like New White.
Sudbury Yellow No. 51 works particularly well with yellow based neutrals such as New White and String. These soft colour schemes are incredibly easy to live with and would suit a cosy country style home.
TIP: Use Sudbury Yellow on walls with woodwork painted in a brighter soft colour such as Farrow's Cream to create a seamlessly sophisticated and restful space.
Looking for Inspiration on the Internet, we came across this lovely contemporary style kitchen painted in Sudbury Yellow and Farrow's Cream and wanted to share with it with you.
Parma Gray No. 27 by Farrow&Ball, despite its name, reads as a cool blue and has been used in numerous costume dramas, contrasted with Wimborne White to create the perfect period feel. Its cool nature can make it feel quite formal, especially when contrasted with a bright white but it is still a firm favourite for those who prefer cleaner crisper rooms.
TIP: Try using a sample pot on walls in the home to see how the paint responds to different lighting. As described above, Parma Gray No. 27 looks different depending on light from grey to light blue.
For best results, pair with Farrow&Ball Mid Tones Primer & Undercoat.
