Over the last year, many new places have opened their doors in Norwich. Independent stores are on the up and the high street has taken a massive knock. We're always looking out for great new places to eat, shop and drink. Here are some of our favourite new Norwich businesses.
Erpingham House is one of the latest restaurants to open in Norwich. 100% plant-based, plastic-free and gluten-free, they’re really doing their bit for sustainability. With a decor to die for (designed by Berry’s & Grey) it’s an 'Instagrammer’s haven!'
The building dates back to 1890 and the new owners have really injected some new life into it. With the addition of a new upstairs bar coming soon, this is the place to be on Tombland.
Located in the lanes, Elm offers a collection of beautifully crafted items including a massive selection of exotic plants. If you follow independent shops on Instagram you’ll notice almost all of them are decking their stores out with plants from Elm!
They also offer locally made items such as books, prints and bespoke ceramics. Elm is set to move into a new larger shop on Lower Goat Lane soon. We can’t wait!
Pono based on St.Giles have only been open a short while but have already made their mark in the city. Their beautifully crafted food based on Hawaiian culture is not only lovely to look at, but full of superfoods with plenty of nutritional value.
The decor is minimal and clean but not cold, in fact, it’s very welcoming and the owners are extremely hospitable.
March last year saw a new barbers open up at the top of Lower Goat Lane. Mr.Barbers is a stylish, traditional barbers with a massive community feel to it. Their staff offer a wide range of quality services and great conversation to match. Also, the free beer with every haircut is an absolute winner!
They also allow bookings to be made via an app. Clients can see barber’s availability and select exactly when they would like to come in.
